Abstract: 

Romania, as a Member State of the European Union, has an indirect contribution to the development of European Union law. The national courts have the capacity and sometimes the obligation to refer preliminary questions, the answers given by the European Court of Justice are a part of the acquis of the Union. The present article tries to asses the contribution of the Romanian courts in this context and aims to underline the drafting of the references as a first step in the cooperation between national and the European court.
